Drop-In Manners: It's Like Training on Demand!

The Learning Dog Academy is offering a new way to meet your dog’s training needs – Drop-In Training classes. Drop-in classes are available three times each week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

  • Drop-in classes are great for people needing scheduling flexibility. You can come to any class that fits your schedule.

  • Drop-in classes allow you to work on specific skills that are important to you. Unlike our general group classes, you can choose the classes that cover the skills you're most interested in working on.

  • Drop-in classes allow your dog to work at their ability. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels are taught in each drop-in class.

  • Drop-in classes are themed. You can cover different themes or arrange your schedule to focus on one or two themes.

How it works

You purchase a package of 5, 10, or 15 classes. Then you choose which classes you attend. You can choose to attend classes on a specific day of the week, you can attend multiple classes in a week, or you can attend different classes on different days of the week. It’s really up to you! As always, class size is limited to ensure that you and your dog get one-on-one attention.

Once you purchase a package of classes, you’ll have access to the drop-in class schedule. You’ll need to register for the class (or classes) you want at least 24 hours before the class begins. Classes are limited to six dogs, so registering early ensures you get the class you want. Prior to coming to class, you will need to submit proof of vaccination. Dogs 4 months and older must have a rabies vaccine.

Which class is right for my dog?

Drop-in classes are designed for social dogs who are at least six months old and older. Drop-in classes focus on skills, such as sit, down, stay, and leash walking, with varying levels of distraction, duration, and distance.

Puppy Manners, for dogs 10-24 weeks, teaches your pup to basic manners and includes socialization. During puppy classes, your trainer will answer questions about typical puppy behavior and offer simple strategies to help get through the puppy phase. The Puppy Manners class is a 5-class course held on consecutive weeks (not a drop-in class).

Adolescent Antics is a great class for dogs who are learning basic skills but may be shy/timid or bold/impulsive. The focus of this class is impulse control, a common challenge for adolescent dogs. Like Puppy Manners, Adolescent Antics is a 5-class course held on consecutive weeks (not a drop-in class).
